About the piece
One pear-shaped blue sapphire, point up, held by fine claws inside a slim teardrop frame of high-polished 18K yellow gold, with open space all the way round the stone so light reaches it from every side. The frame hangs from a small loop and a tube bail. Shown on a fine gold cable chain. Sapphire is the September birthstone. Made by hand in Sri Lanka as part of Soul of Ceylon.
