About the piece
One oval blue sapphire, set lengthways along the finger in a four-claw setting of 18K yellow gold. At each shoulder the band splits into two slim polished wires that cross over each other in an open, woven pattern before they meet the stone; below, the band is plain and round. Sapphire is the September birthstone and, after diamond, the hardest natural gem, so it is made for everyday wear. Made by hand in Sri Lanka as part of Soul of Ceylon.
